How do organizations make decisions together?

This research explores whether and how organizations in Houston and the surrounding area use repeatable shared decision-making practices in everyday work.

Many organizations have shared language for setting goals, such as SMART goals. I’m curious whether organizations have a similar shared language or repeatable practice for making decisions together.

For this study, a shared decision-making practice is a repeatable approach that people in an organization intentionally use to guide how decisions are made together. It may include shared questions, principles, steps, frameworks, or methods that help people make decisions consistently.

The survey takes approximately 3 minutes to complete.

Organization names are optional. If you would like to receive a summary of the findings, you may choose to provide your name and email at the end of the survey.

Thank you for contributing to this research.
