The Quiet Rebel

The Quiet Rebel is the home of Tracie Jae’s public work exploring leadership, decision-making, and what it means to stay HUMAN in complex environments.

Through frameworks, public dialogue, storytelling, and leadership engagements, the work invites individuals and organizations to pause long enough to examine the decisions shaping their culture, communities, and everyday lives.

At the center of this work is A More HUMAN Approach™, a discipline that helps people move from default reactions toward intentional decisions.

Where the Work Began

Much of this work traces back to 100 Voices, a dialogue initiative that invited people across Houston to speak honestly about race, identity, and lived experience.

These conversations became the foundation for Dr. Megan Ratcliffe’s doctoral dissertation and helped shape the early public work that would later evolve into the HUMAN framework.

The lessons from those conversations continue to inform how The Quiet Rebel approaches dialogue today.

The Work Today

Today, The Quiet Rebel brings the HUMAN discipline into a range of environments.

This includes leadership engagements with organizations, public storytelling gatherings through HUMAN. Stories., reflective tools like Actively HUMAN, and civic dialogue spaces that invite people to think more carefully about the decisions shaping our communities.

Across each setting, the invitation is the same:
pause, notice what is happening, and move forward with intention.

Meet the Founder - Tracie Jae

Tracie Jae is the founder of The Quiet Rebel and the creator of A More HUMAN Approach™, a framework that helps leaders examine the decisions shaping their organizations and communities.

Her work blends facilitation, storytelling, and decision-making practice to help people slow down long enough to recognize the humans on the other side of their choices.

A lifelong Houstonian, Tracie’s work often lives at the intersection of leadership, civic dialogue, and culture.

Curious by nature and guided by multiple lenses, Tracie often describes herself through a mix of frameworks that help her understand people and systems.
